Sugar Snap Peas
Description
Snap peas are a cross between snow peas and garden peas. Snap peas and snow peas are identical nutritionally and taste similar, but snap peas tend to be sweeter and more flavorful. Snap peas are rounder, while snow pea pods are flatter and have small, premature peas. Sugar snap peas provide protein, fiber/carbohydrates, and fat; as well as being an excellent source of vitamin C, iron, and potassium.
Perfect for snacking on raw, these peas can also be used in stir-fries, steamed, roasted, sautéed, or pan grilled.
