➸ Such a simple but useful plant, Dandelion or Lion's tooth has been used through the ages (first documented in Europe in 1485) to support liver and kidney functions. It is a blood purifier and detoxifier and can even help reduce cholesterol. It is a gentle diuretic and can help with UTI's and relieve water retention.
USES: KIDNEYS and UTI's: As a well known diuretic it has been used to increase the flow of urine production and decrease swelling and inflammation. This elimination decreases microbal growth in the bladder, relieving infections and build up. LIVER and GALL BLADDER: Dandelion is used as a detoxification agent for the liver and gall bladder. The compound taraxacerin increases the bile secreted by the gallbladder, helping the liver detoxify more efficiently. It is also a diuretic that helps removes waste from the body. It suppresses the fat accumulation in the liver reducing insulin resistance.
