This product is currently Back Ordered. Please check back again or contact us for more details.
🌿 Product Name: Syrian Oregano / Za'atar (tần dầy lá) 50g +/- 10g
Scientific Name: Origanum syriacum
👉 Harvest Date: 65–90 days to full maturity; young, soft silver-green leaves can be harvested earlier and continuously through summer
💚 Natural flavors: Warm, earthy, and slightly bitter with tangy, nutty, and lemony-mint undertones — potent enough that quality leaves can numb the tongue slightly. Dominant aroma compounds are thymol and carvacrol (also found in regular oregano and thyme), plus γ-terpinene and p-cymene. This is the traditional primary herb in the Middle Eastern za'atar spice blend (mixed with sumac, toasted sesame, and salt).

👩🍳 Nutrition Value:
- USDA: No dedicated FoodData Central entry exists for Origanum syriacum specifically (common oregano, Origanum vulgare, does have one: https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/food-details/171331/nutrients — useful as a rough proxy since both are close relatives with similar composition)
- Nutritionix: No dedicated Origanum syriacum entry; general za'atar blend info exists in their grocery database but not as an isolated herb page.
