Turmeric Powder (Bột nghệ) 250g

🌿 Product Name: Turmeric Powder, 250g/jar

🔬 Scientific Name: Curcuma longa

🩺 Medicinal value: One of the most studied medicinal spices — its active compound curcumin has well-documented anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine for joint pain, digestive support, wound healing, and liver health, and studied for potential benefits in arthritis and metabolic conditions. Note: curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed by the body (low bioavailability) — pairing turmeric with black pepper (piperine) or a fat source significantly improves absorption.

🌎 Origin: Native to South and Southeast Asia, primarily India, where it has been cultivated and used for over 4,000 years in cooking, medicine, and religious ceremonies.

🎨 Uses: Widely used as a culinary spice — a key ingredient in curries, rice dishes, and golden milk/turmeric lattes, and common in Vietnamese, Indian, and Southeast Asian cooking (bột nghệ). Also used in traditional medicine preparations, natural dye-making (its vivid yellow-orange color), and skincare (turmeric masks for its anti-inflammatory properties).

📋 How to use: Add to cooking (curries, soups, rice, marinades) or mix into warm milk, tea, or smoothies. For better absorption, pair with a pinch of black pepper and a source of fat (coconut milk, ghee, oil). Culinary use is generally 1/4–1 teaspoon per dish; supplement-strength use should follow product guidance. Store in an airtight container away from light and moisture — it stains easily, so handle with care.

⚠️ Warning (children & pets): Generally safe in normal culinary amounts for both children and adults. High-dose supplemental turmeric (rather than cooking use) may cause stomach upset and can interact with blood thinners, diabetes medication, or gallbladder conditions — consult a doctor before taking concentrated turmeric supplements, especially during pregnancy or if on medication. For pets, small culinary amounts are generally considered low-risk, but concentrated turmeric supplements aren't well studied for cats and dogs — introduce cautiously and consult a vet, and keep the powder itself out of reach since large ingestions can cause digestive upset and its strong pigment can stain fur and surfaces.
