DeLaTerre Permaculture Farm, LLC

Campti Field of Dreams is a Louisiana non-profit organization dedicated to growing food, farmers and the fabric of our rural communities. We operate the Campti Historic Museum, Jackson Square Community Garden and Tallawah Farm, a 25-acre sustainable agriculture demonstration farm.

Growing Food

Tallawah Farm dedicates approximately 1 acre to year-round intensive vegetable production. Meat production includes chickens, goats, sheep, and pigs. All products are raised naturally, applying organic principles and supplemented with Texas Natural feeds and OMRI approved pesticides only when absolutely necessary. One acre is dedicated to native and adapted plants creating a pollinator habitat and four acres is left in conservation and serves as a wildlife habitat. By taking a holistic approach to food production with an emphasis on soil health, we can provide you with nutrient-dense products without synthetic chemicals, growth hormones and antibiotics often used on conventional farms.

Growing Farmers

Tallawah Farm serves as a demonstration farm and often conducts farm tours and an annual youth agripreneurship class to nurture the next generation of farmers.

Growing the Fabric of Rural Communities

Campti Field of Dreams also conducts outreach and education in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency and Rural Development to educate the public about programs and resources to help individuals, families, and communities thrive.
